What is esophageal atresia?

Esophageal atresia is a digestive disorder, present at birth, in which the esophagus does not develop correctly. Food is unable to travel from the esophagus to the stomach like it is supposed to. Esophageal atresia causes digestive problems and may lead to dangerous complications.
