Are there alternative treatments for pyloric stenosis?

The only alternative treatment to surgery for repairing pyloric stenosis is a balloon dilation of the area where the muscle is enlarged. This procedure does not seem to be as effective and is used only if general anesthesia poses a risk to the child. Your child will also be given intravenous fluids before and after surgery.
