What is the duration of treatment for appendix cancer?

The severity of appendix cancer varies case-by-case with relation to size and location of tumors and several other factors. Likewise, the length of time it takes to treat appendix cancer varies. Tumors that are located only on the appendix can be treated with an appendectomy, but tumors that spread may require more surgery to remove several tumors and possibly organs. Chemotherapy would also take longer than surgery to remove one tumor. Your doctor can give you a better idea of how long your treatment will last.
