Medications used to treat gallbladder cancer include oxaliplatin and docetaxel.These chemotherapeutic agents work by selectively targeting rapidly dividing cells. Docetaxel preferentially affects cells that are in the M phase of the cell cycle, when cell division actually occurs. Oxaliplatin works by targeting DNA synthesis.
