Appendix cancer can affect your ability to conceive in the future. Some tumors, especially carcinoid, can spread to the ovaries in women and testes in men. These tumors and organs must be removed for effective treatment. Treatment might be successful if all of the tumors are removed, though the affected person might no longer be fertile.
