    Simethicone is usually taken in doses of between 40 and 125 mg. in adults and children older than two years of age. In infants and children younger than two years of age, the dosage is usually 20 mg. Adults and children older than two years of age should not take more than 500 mg. of simethicone within 24 hours. Children younger than two years of age should not have more than 240 mg. of simethicone per day.

    Small children must take less simethicone, appropriate to their body weight.
