What should I avoid while taking VPRIV?

You should not have to avoid doing what you normally do while receiving VPRIV (velaglucerase alfa). You may have side effects that could limit some of your regular activities, especially early on in your treatment, but these should diminish after your first few appointments. You may need to use VPRIV for the rest of your life, so discuss any treatment difficulties with your doctor in order to find the best solution as quickly as possible. VPRIV may eventually be discovered to interact with some drugs, so be sure to ask your doctor to keep abreast of those developments, if you are also using other medications.
