What are the side effects of Relistor (methylnaltrexone)?

Some people may have an allergic reaction to Relistor (methylnaltrexone), causing symptoms like hives; swelling in your face, lips, tongue, or throat; and difficulty breathing. Seek immediate medical care if you have signs of an allergic reaction. Other serious side effects of Relistor may include severe diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, or severe and persistent stomach pain. However, most of the time, side effects are not serious. More common side effects include mild diarrhea, mild nausea and vomiting, gas, stomach pain, dizziness, and sweating. Talk to your doctor if you are worried about any side effects you are experiencing.
