What happens if I miss a dose of promethazine?

If you miss a dose of promethazine, take the dose immediately upon remembering it. However, if you remember the missed dose close to the time of your next scheduled dose, take only your regular dose. Do not take twice the dose to make up for the missed one. If you take too much medication, overdose may occur, which can be serious. Symptoms of overdose include: severe drowsiness, dizziness, fainting, vomiting and shallow breathing.
