What foods help fight gastritis?

Although a bland diet is not necessarily required, you may find relief by avoiding large or heavy meals, and fried, spicy, or very acidic foods. Avoiding alcohol may help. Foods that are high in fiber and/or contain flavanoids have been shown to help, including:
  • Colorful fruits and vegetables, including apples, spinach, kale, and cranberries
  • Celery, onions, garlic, almonds and beans
  • Lean meat, salmon and olive oil
  • Tea and cranberry juice
