Who should not take Prevacid SoluTab?

You may not be able to take Prevacid SoluTab (lansoprazole) if you have kidney or liver disease or a condition called phenylketonuria (PKU). Studies are unclear about the effect of Prevacid SoluTab on an unborn baby when taken by a pregnant woman. Talk to your doctor about taking Prevacid SoluTab if you are pregnant. Prevacid SoluTab may pass into breast milk, so talk to your doctor about taking this drug if you are breastfeeding.
