Ask your doctor about how to manage your gallstones. If you're not experiencing pain from your gallstones, you probably don't need to do anything. If you should experience a "gallbladder attack," however-a sudden onset of severe persistent pain-you should get medical attention. Avoiding high-fat meals may help to prevent such an attack. Getting regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight are ways you may be able to keep your symptoms from getting worse.
