What are vaginal anti-fungal medications?

Vaginal anti-fungal medications treat vaginal fungal infections such as yeast infections. To use this medication, you will be directed to apply the cream in your vagina using an applicator. You also may apply the cream on the outside of your vagina to reduce itching. Butoconazole (brand name Femstat), clotrimazole (Gyne-Lotrimin), and miconazole (Montistat) are examples of over-the-counter creams that you can use for this purpose.
