What are the symptoms of jock itch?

The symptoms of jock itch are a burning, itching, and/or irritation sensation in the groin area. A rash can be present. If there are small crawling organisms, this is more likely lice, commonly known as "crabs." If you have symptoms of jock itch, you can try an over-the-counter product first. If this does not resolve the problem, your doctor may be able to help make sure it is jock itch and then prescribe something stronger.
