If you are caring for someone with a fungal infection you can help them by providing them the care and support that they need. You can help them manage their symptoms by following the indications of their doctor regarding medicinal treatment. If it is a superficial fungal infection, like athlete's foot, you can help them avoid further infection by keeping their clothes clean and dry and taking extra precaution not to share objects that may be infected. If your loved one suffers from a deep tissue fungal infection, such as cryptococcosis, understand that this is a very serious infection. Look for any signs of distress like troubled breathing or chest pain.
