Can high-arched feet be prevented?

Some instances of high-arched feet are inherited. These instances cannot be prevented. However, some neurological disorders that cause high-arched feet can be prevented. For example, polio, which can affect the muscles of the foot and cause an abnormally high arch, can be prevented by vaccine in both adults and children.
