Just as with other dried herbs, choose organically grown dill seeds when possible, since organically grown herbs are much less likely to have been irradiated. Dried dill seeds should be stored in a tightly sealed glass container in a cool, dry, dark place, where they will remain fresh for about six months. Dried dill seeds can be used whole or can be ground in a coffee grinder.
