How should basil be stored?

Basil is a delicate herb that can be stored in the refrigerator after harvest. Basil tends to turn black quickly. Wash it well and the wrap it in damp paper towels and place in a plastic bag in the refrigerator crisper drawer. Basil can also be dried and used in a variety of dishes.
