How is botulism food poisoning related to bioterrorism?

The botulism toxin in an aerosol form could be used in a bioterrorism attack. The CDC and other public health agencies are aware of this threat and have prevention measures in place. Experts are readily available to advise doctors on botulism cases. The botulism antitoxin is readily available and can be provided very quickly if needed. Doctors are also encouraged to report any cases of botulism to the state health department.
