Does botulism affect adults and children differently?

Botulism affects people of all ages. But babies are most often affected by infant botulism. Infant botulism is the most common type of botulism. Do not give honey or corn syrup to a baby under one year. These foods can contain botulism bacteria spores, which can become active in a baby's intestine.
