What is Vigamox?

Vigamox is a brand name prescription antibiotic that is used to treat pink eye (bacterial conjunctivitis). It comes as an eye drop to be used three times daily. It is part of a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones, which work by killing the underlying bacteria causing the infection. The generic name for the active ingredient is moxifloxacin. Your doctor should be able to tell you if Vigamox is appropriate for treating your infection.
