Nalidixic acid, an antibacterial drug, is used to treat urinary tract infections caused by E. Coli and other gram-negative bacteria. This medication kills bacteria by blocking the creation of a protein that they feed on. You will receive nalidixic acid as a flavored suspension. The brand name of this drug is NegGram; it is available only by prescription.
