No generic version of Avelox is currently available. A generic version cannot be manufactured before December 2011 when the manufacturer’s first patent expires. This date could be changed or extended, which would delay the availability of generic versions. Do not buy a drug that is advertised as generic Avelox because it may be unsafe.
