How does nalidixic acid interact with other drugs or foods?

Combining nalidixic acid with the following medications may result in increased risk of side effects and diminished effectiveness: anticoagulants, antiarrhythmics, cyclosporine, melphalan, theophylline, probenecid, and certain medicines that affect heartbeat. Other medications may also interact with nalidixic acid. Give your doctor a list of medications that you currently take before having nalidixic acid prescribed for you to avoid adverse interactions.
