How should I take Factive?

Factive comes in tablet form. The usual dose is 320 milligrams (mg.) once a day. Your doctor will tell you how long to take Factive, but most people use this drug for five to seven days. You can take Factive with food, but that's not necessary. Swallow the pill whole. Don't crush, split or chew Factive tablets. Drink plenty of water with your dose. Follow the directions on the prescription label and do not skip doses or stop your medication early. Certain medications may prevent Factive from working properly. Take Factive either two hours before or three hours after taking sucralfate (Carafate), didanosine (Videx, Videx EC) or an antacid, multivitamin, or other product containing magnesium, aluminum, iron or zinc,
