How does Avelox interact with other medications?

Avelox may not work as well if taken with certain other medications. Some types of ulcer medications, over-the-counter antacids (containing magnesium or aluminum compounds), iron and zinc supplements, and didanosine (Videx), should not be taken while you are on Avelox. You should make a list of all medications you currently take and give it to your doctor before taking Avelox. Be sure to include any vitamins or nutritional or herbal supplements. Also include any over-the-counter medications. Other drugs that may affect how Avelox works include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), some medications for diabetes, and oral steroids such as prednisone.
