Does air pollution affect how I should train?

Air pollution should be a concern if you do a lot of training outdoors. Pollutants and particulates in the air can cause irritation in the lungs and decrease your performance. Over time, this may cause further problems. It is recommended that you train in areas with lower air pollution levels. Avoid areas of high traffic, or train early in the morning or later in the day once traffic has slowed.
