Know the Chicken Move

If you’re like me, shopping is like a second job during the holiday shopping season. I’m not particularly paranoid, but I do want to be prepared in case someone decides they’d like to mug a tired shopping-bag-laden woman heading to her car outside the mall.

I know it’s important to always be aware of my surroundings and even smarter to shop with a friend, especially if I’m heading to the car in the dark. I also know that the smartest move is to hand over my purse and shopping bags immediately.

But if someone is trying to attack me from behind, I am now going to give ‘em the “chicken wing.” Thanks to Elite Trainers Joel Harper and Donovan Green (and the uncredited woman in yellow) for the demo of this self-defense move. Although it has a funny name, taking care of your personal safety is no laughing matter:
