Who should take Lyrica?

Lyrica is prescribed to adults over 18 years of age who experience nerve pain due to a number of causes. For instance, Lyrica can treat neuropathic pain (damaged nerves) caused by diabetes. It can also treat people who experience neuropathic pain that arises from a healing case of shingles. People who experience partial seizures have also been treated with Lyrica, though they are usually treated with a combination of Lyrica and other anticonvulsants. Finally, Lyrica has been known to help treat severe pain associated with fibromyalgia. This is classified as widespread pain throughout the body, especially in pressure points, muscles and tendons.
