How does Lyrica react with other medications?

Because Lyrica's effect on the body is not fully understood, too little is known about which medications can react with Lyrica. However, some medications have been thought to interact with Lyrica based on the side effects they can cause. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following drugs: sleep medications; anxiety and antidepressant medications; other anticonvulsants or seizure medications; prescription or over-the-counter pain medications; and allergy medications, such as antihistamines. Lyrica should not be taken with other depressants, such as alcohol, as their combination may cause dizziness or severe drowsiness. Tell your doctor about all medications you are taking. Make sure to include any herbal or dietary supplements, nicotine or illegal drug use, as any of these substances may interact with Lyrica. While taking Lyrica, do not start a new medication without consulting your doctor.
