Who should not receive choriogonadotropin alfa injection?

If you are allergic to choriogonadotropin alfa injection or other hormones, you should not take this medication. If you have an uncontrolled thyroid or adrenal disorder, you should consult with your doctor before using choriogonadotropin alfa injection. If you are bleeding from the uterus, you should not use this medication. Brain lesions or tumors (e.g., pituitary gland tumor) may make you unable to receive choriogonadotropin alfa. If you suffer from primary ovarian failure, enlarged ovaries or ovarian cysts of unknown cause, tumors in the reproductive tract or in the liver that are dependent on sex hormones, you should not be using choriogonadotropin alfa. Do not use choriogonadotropin alfa if you are already pregnant or have gone through menopause.
