Who should not take Follistim AQ?

You should not use Follistim AQ (follitropin beta) if you are allergic to it or to streptomycin or neomycin. Do not use this drug if you have cancer or tumors of the uterus, breast, or ovaries. This drug may not be for you if you have uncontrolled adrenal or thyroid problems, or if you have tumors of the hypothalamus, brain, or pituitary gland. Do not use Follistim AQ if you have a failure of the ovaries or have ovarian cysts or enlarged cysts not the result of polycystic ovarian syndrome. If you have irregular or heavy vaginal bleeding that has not been diagnosed, do not use Follistim AQ. Also, this drug must not be used if you are already pregnant. It is known to cause fetal harm.
