What is Myobloc?

Myobloc is the brand name for the generic drug botulinum toxin type B. Other names for the drug include BoNT-B and BTB. The drug is administered by injection and used to treat and relieve a condition called cervical dystonia, an uncontrollable contraction of the neck muscles. The condition causes pain in the neck and causes you to hold your head in unusual positions. The injection works by obstructing the nerve signals that cause the contractions within the neck muscles.
