The dinoprostone vaginal suppository, also known as Prepidil, Cervidil, and Prostin, is used to terminate a pregnancy or to help vacate the contents of the uterus after a miscarriage. It is in a class of medications called uterine stimulants. The medication is inserted into the vagina.
