What are the side effects of dinoprostone vaginal suppository?

Dinoprostone vaginal suppository can cause some side effects. Between 15 and 45 minutes after receiving a dose of Prostin E2, you will most likely develop a fever which should go away on its own about six hours following your last dose of the medication. If it doesn't or if your temperature goes above 101 degrees, you should contact your doctor. Other common side effects include dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, chills, and flushing. If these don't go away or if they get worse, you should let your doctor know. You should also notify your doctor immediately if you experience strong contractions, severe pain in your abdomen, or fainting. Chest pain and uterine rupture rarely occur, but should be reported to a health care provider immediately.
