What should I know about dinoprostone vaginal suppository?

You should know that the dinoprostone vaginal suppository is not intended for use outside of a hospital or late in pregnancy. Also, if you are over 30 years of age or your pregnancy lasts longer than 40 weeks, you may be at greater risk for potentially dangerous vaginal bleeding. However, this risk is rare. If you have liver or kidney disease, lung disease, asthma, anemia, a seizure disorder, high or low blood pressure, heart or blood vessel disease, glaucoma, unusual vaginal bleeding, or a history of uterine surgery or problematic deliveries, you may need special consideration when using this drug. The dosage amount of this drug must be strictly monitored, as overdoses can be dangerous.
