Can eating fatty foods make me high?

You don't need a bong to get marijuana-like effects in your body. According to a study that appeared in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the chemical reaction that you get from smoking weed can also result from eating high-fat treats like ice cream and potato chips. This dietary fat appears to activate endocannabinoids, the same chemicals in the brain that are triggered by ingesting marijuana. These neurochemicals also affect mood and regulate anxiety, appetite, and relaxation levels.

Compromise by setting up a diet "cheat" day once a week, when you can indulge in fattening foods. But stick to healthy eating the rest of the week.
