Can CA-125 be used to monitor response to fallopian tube cancer treatment?

CA 125, or cancer antigen 125, may be unusually high if you have ovarian or fallopian tube cancer. While this marker is not usually used as a screening tool for ovarian or fallopian tube cancer, it may be used to monitor your response to treatment. If you have completed menopause and have a pelvic mass, the doctor may want to check your CA-125 level before you undergo any treatment in order to determine its baseline level. That way, the doctor can monitor how it changes over time.
