What is MEWDS?

MEWDS is multiple evanescent white-dot syndrome and it is thought to be a post-virus or virus-related illness that causes some retinal changes, including punctuate whitish retinal lesions and granular appearance in the macula. The condition typically resolves itself within a few weeks.
