How effective is LASIK compared with glasses or contacts?

After having LASIK surgery the patient generally sees at normal or near normal levels, depending on the severity of the vision problem. Even with surgery the vision can continue to change, and ultimately the patient may need glasses. Talk with your opthalmologist about whether LASIK is right for you.
