Is myopia the same as astigmatism?

Astigmatism is a common vision impairment that causes blurred vision. It is distinct from myopia in that the curvature of the cornea is sharply skewed in one direction over another. This affects how light is reflected, causing an imbalance of focus with respect to horizontal, vertical, or diagonal images.
