How common is uveitis?

More than 280,000 people in the United States are affected by uveitis each year. One study also estimated that uveitis causes 30,000 new cases of blindness in a year and up to 10 percent of all cases of blindness. Anterior uveitis has an annual incidence rate of about 8 to 15 cases per 100,000 people.
