Both hard and soft lenses can be used to treat astigmatism, though soft lenses do not work as well. A method of treatment called orthokeratology uses hard lenses worn several hours a day to adjust the shape of the lens or cornea. Your doctor can recommend what kind of contact lens is right for you.
