How should I care for someone with astigmatism?

Astigmatism can be easily treated with only mild inconvenience to the person with astigmatism and their caretaker. People with corrective glasses and contact lenses should be reminded to keep their glasses and lenses clean and always have clean hands when touching their eyes. Some contact lenses have more specific rules about how long the lenses can stay in and what activities can and cannot be done while wearing them. If a person opts to undergo surgery for astigmatism, the eye doctor will give you more information about surgery recovery.
