An ocuplastic specialist is an ophthalmologist (a physician who specializes in medical and surgical care of the eyes and visual system, as well as in prevention of eye disease) who has received advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eye and surrounding structures. Ocuplastic specialists are often consulted for problems with the eyelids, tear drainage, and skin cancer around the eyes.
