Who should not take Vivelle-Dot?

This drug should not be used if you have an allergy to its ingredients, undiagnosed bleeding from the vagina, or a history of heart attack, stroke, blood clots, any type of cancer, estrogen-dependent growths, or bleeding or blood clotting problems. The drug may also be inappropriate to people with a history of asthma, high cholesterol, diabetes, any kind of heart or kidney problem, liver tumors, mood or mental disorders, seizure disorder, gallbladder problems, migraines, or blood clots. You should also warn your doctor if you smoke, are going to be having surgery, have had a hysterectomy, or if you take any over-the-counter or prescription medications, as many may interact with this drug. Do not take this drug if you are pregnant.
