What is estradiol acetate?

Estradiol acetate is a prescription medication available in tablet form or as a vaginal ring. Estradiol acetate improves menopause symtpoms and provides estrogen to women who no longer make enough or had their uterus removed. It is an estrogen hormone treatment. It is also known as Femring (vaginal insert) and Femtrace (tablet).
