What side effects of estradiol should I report to my doctor?

Estradiol may cause a variety of mild side effects. If any become severe, tell your doctor immediately. In particular, report any of the following:
  • bulging eyes
  • yellowed skin or eyes
  • itching, hives, skin rash or blisters
  • loss of appetite
  • fever
  • joint pain
  • stomach problems such as tenderness, pain or swelling
  • poor muscle control
  • swollen eyes, face, lips, tongue, throat, hands, feet, ankles or lower legs
  • hoarseness, wheezing or difficulty breathing or swallowing
