What are the potential side effects of conjugated estrogens vaginal cream?

Conjugated estrogens vaginal cream contains a mixture of estrogen hormones. The amount of estrogen in the cream is small, but even so, using this drug can increase your risk of breast cancer, uterine cancer and ovarian cancer.

Other side effects of conjugated estrogens vaginal cream include increased risk of stroke, heart attack, blood clots, dementia, gallbladder disease, high blood pressure, liver problems and high blood sugar. Women using conjugated estrogens vaginal cream may also experience headache, breast pain, vaginal bleeding or spotting, stomach cramps, bloating, fluid retention, nausea and vomiting, hair loss and vaginal yeast infection.
