Who should not use an estradiol transdermal system?

Do not use an estradiol transdermal delivery system if any of the following applies to you:
  • you have unusual vaginal bleeding
  • you currently have or have had certain cancers -- talk to your doctor
  • you had a stroke or heart attack in the past year
  • you currently have or have had blood clots
  • you currently have or have had liver problems
  • you think you may be pregnant
Also, if you know that you're allergic to certain drugs, tell your pharmacist before using an estradiol transdermal system.
